Getting Started at Roadrunner Open

Two UCSB wrestlers made their season debuts against the stiff competion of the Roadrunner Open, held in Fresno, CA on November 10. Johnny Alonzo competed at 125 lb., losing his opening match to Jordan Hart of Drexel by pin in the 2nd period., and his consolation round match to Edgar Paez of Menlo, CA by a 16-2 decision. Novice wrestler Tinbete Daniel wrestled at 149 in his first ever matches in competition, losing by pins to Conor Fussner of Grand Canyon and Marcus Aleman of Sacramento City College.
