Good Weekend in Mass for UAlbany

UAlbany competed in two different events over the weekend of December 9th and 10th. The NCWA Northeast Conference Dual Meet Championships were held on Saturday at UMass/Amherst. The eight team event included a field of UAlbany, Blair Academy, RPI, Northampton, Lafayette and the host's A & B squads. UA went 2-1 in their pool losing only to eventual champion Northampton. The Great Danes then went on to drop a close sontest to the host's A team 22-33 to place fourth overall.
On Sunday UAlbany went on to compete in neighboring Springfield at the STCC Collegiate Wrestling Open. Included in the field were representatives from STCC, AIC, Bryant and others. Shane Ryan(141) and Tierro Davis(184) both placed firstwith other place finishers including second place Bryan Petrucci(149) and third place Kevin Conway(165).
