Builders compete at Pembroke Classic
PEMBROKE, N.C. - The Apprentice School wrestling team made its annual trek to Pembroke, N.C. on Saturday to compete in the 2007 Pembroke Classic and had a few wrestlers fare well in the 30-team event.
Senior Eric Lybarger was one round from wrestling for fifth place as he went 4-2 at 184 pounds. Sophomore Kevin Hill had a team-best 5-2 record at 125 pounds and was also a round away from wrestling for fifth place.
Sophomore Matt Perry advanced to the quarterfinals at 149 pounds before losing his first match and was a round away from the fifth-place match and went 3-2 on the day.
Next up for the Builders will be a two-tournament weekend in Pennsylvania. They will compete on November 17 at the East Stroudsburg Open and then the next day at the Ursinus "Fall Brawl" Tournament.
