Navy Prep Rams defeat Bryant University for home crowd

Navy Prep opened their dual season yesterday with a victory over the Bryant University Bulldogs. Bryant wrestling without stars, Tim Petrides and Jarret Grossman, fell early at 133lbs with NAPS Aaron Kalil winning via Technical Fall early in the third period. There was no match contested at 125. Navy Prep received a forfeit at 141 going to Dustin Haislip. Action was brisk at 149 with Navy Prep's Bernie Crandley outlasting Bryant's Bischoff 25-7 with a technical fall. At 157, Bryant put points on the scoreboard with Costa ending the match at 3:45 with a pin over Marcellino Valdez of Navy Prep. Moving to 165, Cory Vernon of Navy Prep ended the match against Losqaudro of Bryant at 1:35. There were forfeits at 174 and 184 going to Luke Rebertus and Aaron Schneider of Navy Prep, moving the team score to 40-6 in favor of Navy Prep. No match was contested at 235 and Josh Labossierre received the forfeit at 285 for Bryant. Final score was 40-12 with Navy Prep on top. Navy Prep will compete this weekend at the Springfield Technical Open in Springfield, MA.
