Successful First Half Of The Season For The Flames

CLEVELAND, TN - The Lee Wrestling Team had a successful first half of the 2008-09 season. With only eight wrestlers competiting this first half of the season, the Lee Flames almost clinched a win over rival power house team Tennessee Temple University earlier in November. This was the first ever collegiate wrestling meet in Bradley County. Roughly seventy five fans were in attendance. Senior, Joe Jellison (125), is currently the Top Team Point Leader for the Flames by racking up a total of 41.70 points, which puts him at No.8 in the NCWA national poll rankings in his respective weight class. The Lee Flames will hit the mats on January 17, 2009, at the Cumberland University Open.
