GSU Takes 3rd at GA. State Championships

Georgia Southern University's first team in many years traveled to Macon, Georgia to compete in the 2009 Georgia Collegiate State Championships and came away with the 3rd place trophy. The members of the team have continued to come in steadily throughout the year as word that the team had reformed has continued to spread. After picking up three more wrestlers at the start of the Spring Semester, the team competed very well with the nine wrestlers they took to the Championships and placed seven in the top three in their respective weight classes including one champion, three 2nd place finishers, and three 3rd place finishers.
