Georgia Southern places 7 at College State Championships
Georgia Southern traveled to Macon, Georgia this past weekend to compete in its Georgia Collegiate State Championships with nine wrestlers and placed seven of them in the top three and came away with 3rd place as a team. Individual placers included their only champion Caleb Mock wrestling at 285 who pinned his way throughthe tournament to a first place finish. Tony Collazos at 133, Colin Evans at 174, and Scott Jamie at 197 each came away with 2nd place. Third place finishers included Jeffrey Briends at 149, Thad Saunds at 157, and Kamaul Barron at 197 who was wrestling in the same weight class as Scott Jamie and the match between the two wrestlers went all the way to overtime to decide the winner.
