Texas-Arlington Announces Schedule

Arlington, TX -- Head coach Jeff McCall has announced to 2010-11 wrestling schedule. The Mavs will travel to five states over the course of the season, and host a total of four events.

"We are happy with the schedule that we put together for the 2010-11 season," said McCall, "It is challenging yet balanced. The goal is always to prepare for the postseason and I'm confident this schedule will do that."

The 2010-11 UT-Arlington wrestling season gets underway on the road with the team traveling, November 7th, to the Dan Harris Wildcat Open, in Baldwin Kansas. The following weekend the Mavs travel east to Murfreesboro, TN for the MTSU Rumble were we expect some tough competition.
Next up, the team returns home to host the Southwest Open on November 20 where the team will compete against the best the conference has to offer. The Mavs will close out 2010 by traveling to College Station, TX to compete in the 1st Annual Aggieland Open.

2011the Mavs open the new year by traveling north to compete in the Quality Inn Open, at Hastings Nebraska. The following weekend the Mavs compete in the prestigious Lone Star Duals. Then the team is back on the road to Seward, NE. Adidas Bulldog Open, January 22

January 28 & 29will be action-packed days of wrestling, with the Mavs traveling to Dalton, GA to compete in The NCWA National Duals. The next two Saturday’s the Mavs will be hosting two duals against University of Texas and Texas A&M. The Mavs finish the regular season, February 19th at the TX Collegiate State Championships in College Station.

SW Conference Championships are set to take place in Wichita, KS February 26. Conclution of 2010-1011 Mavs wresting season will be at the NCWA Championships, March 10-12 in Florida.
