United States Naval Academy Prep Team Press ReleasesNavy Prep Heavyweight Wins Fall Brawl | 11/28/2012 -
On Saturday, The Naval Academy Preparatory School’s wrestling team competed in the Fall Brawl Tournament at Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA. Among the schools competing were Gettysburg, Franklin and Marshall, McDaniel, Hunter University, Westchester, The College of New Jersey, Elizabethtown, Liberty, and Ursinus. The highlight of the tournament for NAPS was a 1st place finish by heavy weight Gaylen Edmo. Gaylen won 4 matches to advance into the championship round where he defeated his opponent from Hunter College by a score of 4-1. Other notable finishes for Navy include: two 3rd place finishes by Michael Hooker (157lbs) and Ryan Harmon (184lbs), both with an overall tournament record of 5-1; a 5th place finishes by Ethan Stanley earning a 5-2 record for the tournament; and a 6th place finish by Brendan Campbell. |
