Wildcats Fall to Alfred State 35-18
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Junior Kyle Sunseri (Athens) and freshman Aaron Doll (Glen Rock) each recorded a pin but the Pennsylvania College of Technology wrestling team was unable to overcome a solid Alfred State College squad losing 35-18. The Wildcats spotted Alfred State nine points in forfeits in the match. Overall, Penn College took four bout wins in the match with Sunseri pinning his 149 opponent in 4:34 while Doll recorded his 133 fall in 2:02. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 1-8 overall.
Freshman Taylor Porter (Milton) started the match off losing a tight 2-1 decision at 165. Freshman Joe Champluvier (Laceyville) equalized the match taking an 8-3 decision at 174. From there, the Pioneers took the next five matches building a 29-3 lead.
Doll and Sunseri then recorded their pins and freshman Troy Leid (Terre Hill) finished the match with a 9-5 victory at 157.
Next up, Penn College travels to Jamestown Community College for the Jayhawk Open on Sunday, Feb. 2.
