FERRUM, Va. -- The 2012-13 Ferrum College wrestling team roster and schedule have been released by Head Coach Nate Yetzer. Yetzer expects to carry 28-30 wrestlers this season, and his team will attend eight tournaments, possibly nine if any wrestlers qualify for the National Collegiate Wrestling Association (NWCA) National Championships.

The Panthers open the season Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Pembroke Classic, hosted by NCAA Division II University of North Carolina at Pembroke. The UNC-Pembroke athletic department expects 12-15 teams and approximately 250 wrestlers to compete Saturday. Ferrum fans looking for updates throughout the day can check UNC Pembroke's wrestling site at http://www.uncpbraves.com/sports/wrest/index.

Following the Pembroke Classic, Ferrum will return to action Sunday, Nov. 18, at the King College Open in Bristol, Tenn. The Panthers will compete in the Mid-Atlantic Conference Tournament, to be held March 2 at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. The tournament is a qualifier for the 2013 NWCA national tournament, to be held Mar. 7-9 in Dallas, Texas.
