Team Press ReleasesRadford Sends 3 to Nationals | 03/05/2009 -
After being away from competition for almost 3 years, and after only starting to compete 3 weeks ago, Radford is sending 3 people to the National Tournament.
Tyler Reedy (157) placed the highest for the Highlanders at the MAC tournament. He placed 3rd after being seeded 5th.
Alex Driggers (235) was also seeded 5th and finished 4th in the tournament after medically forfeiting his consolation finals match to Justin Lathus of Gallaudet, whom Driggers had beaten in the first round.
Luke Vance (285) also placed for Radford. Vance finished 5th after losing to Number 1 ranked Cecil Lee of Apprentice and then dropping a close 2-0 decision to SVU.
All three wrestlers are looking to make an impact at the National Tournament next weekend. |
